The point of this tutorial is to show you how you can play music or other sounds straight from your computer to a friend or chat room in a messenger program, without needing to buy a microphone.

Double click the sound properties icon in your taskbar

Click the options menu and click properties

Click recording and click OK

Select "What U Hear" and click OK

Please note that the "What U Hear" option is only shown if you're on a Sound Blaster card. Normal cards usually say "Stereo Mixer" or "Mono Mixer" and they do the same thing.


Now while talking to someone, click "hands free" and it will play any sounds your computer plays directly to your friend or chat room.
